ALL ABOUT ME

I would like to thank you for visiting my site.  My  name is Terry Boydston and I live in the beautiful hills of Tennessee, on the Tennessee/  Georgia state line, in Chattanooga.  I'M in the center hub of Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham . I'm proud to introduce you to our Chihuahuas. I have two children, my son Vincent, who lives in England and my daughter Donni.  I  care for my Mother who suffers from Alzheimer,     I've been home for the last twenty years taking care of her.  My daughter and I raise long and short coat Chihuahuas, we strive for the standards of AKC in conformation and health.  I know good quality, and we will only breed for the best.  We both strive to offer you a baby you can be proud to own.  Between the both of us we will generally have a litter or two each year. Our females are first and foremost spoiled and pampered. We do not breed our girls every cycle, therefore we can only offer puppies on a limited basis. When we do have little ones, they are of top quality and temperament, they have excellent pedigrees for quality assurance, this way we can pass along the traits that make them special and insure the future generations.  We do not breed for profit, and by no means will we sell to puppy brokers  or puppy mills.   All our potential parents are screened, to make sure  they know how to care for one of our babies.  These are our family members , they are not raised in kennels, but in our homes.  They are played with every day so they will have social skills, besides beauty.  They come to you pre-spoiled and full of personality.  These are a social little dogs that requires a lot of affection, not to be left to their own accord, but be loved and cuddled.  They will gladly repay you many times over with their companionship and devotion.

I would like to express again, that my babies are raised in my home, there are no kennels kept outside, they have 24 hour access to the outdoors by way of my bedroom window.   My room has stairs that lead to a ramp that lets them have access  to an outside pen.  I have indoor-outdoor carpet that they walk on outside.  This way they are never in the mud, or rain.  I welcome anyone to come and check out my home and see the way my babies are kept.  Their beds are cleaned everyday. They are groomed everyday, played with and cuddled  with every night.

CHIHUAHUA RESCUE

I would like to tell you about our placement of rescue dogs, several years ago my mothers best friend, Edna, had lost her husband.  While at the funeral home, I asked her if she would like a puppy to keep her company, she said yes.  I gave her a little black and white boy that she named JW, this little one became her life line, it gave her something to look after and to live for.  I have never seen such love between the two, sadly Edna passed away a year later, JW went to live with her son.
When I saw how much love this puppy gave to her, that I started giving to widows and people who were just lonely.  I have now placed over 25 Chihuahua dogs and puppies to people who really need something in their life to love.  I find this so rewarding.  I have people who call me wanting to place Chihuahuas or wanting one for someone.  I do my best, to find them all good homes.  I have veterinarians call me when they hear of Chihuahuas needing a new home.

Yes! I'm A Dog Breeder

Just because I say that I am a dog breeder, it doesn't make me mentally ill, meaning that I may need psychotherapy, I'm not a "dog hoarder"," puppy mill" or a hobby breeder.  Living things cannot be hobbies.  If we state that we sell puppies, the ownership of this act is  tarred with the same brush as irresponsible breeders, Please, who defines this?   The entire language of  dog ownership is now a no-no.
I am a breeder!  not a dog seller who sells puppies of all breeds, mixed breeds or CKC dogs that can be registered and not shown.  I do not sell my puppies at flea markets or outside of stores.  All my potential owners must qualify and prove they can care for one of my babies

We breeders spend all our money on vet bills,  dog shows, quality dog food, proper vaccinations and vet checks.  They cost of raising  AKC dogs is not cheap. There is no way that a true breeder of AKC dogs can make a living out of raising dogs.  What ever money that I make from a sale of my puppy is put right back into my breeding program, we pay for registration of our dogs, we also pay for every puppy litter and for each puppy that is born.  Every new owner is provided with AKC papers and pedigrees at the time of purchase.  One must remember that it takes money for quality dog food, supplies, veterinary bills, ( God forbid if you have to take your dog for emergency cesarian on a weekend or at night, $1500, and you can still lose the puppy), vehicle use to transport to and from shows, advertising, Internet and phone bills.  It takes money,
lots of it. I do not sell my puppies before the age of eight weeks old, (most of the time I keep them from six months to two year of age).

This way we can assess if  they have the worthiness to be a show dog, most of them do not make the cut.
What ever money that I make from a sale of my puppy is put  back into my breeding program. It's been a long time since I actually made money on a litter of puppies. If there is money made, I earned it, and earned it honestly.
I do not place my older dogs, they stay here, and have a home until they die of old age , They are still part of my family. Half of my dogs are retired,  please remember, it takes money to care for them also.
Thats why I am a dog breeder.  It makes me happy and I smile when I  announce: YES! I'M A DOG BREEDER, I'm not ashamed.

To all Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & like to Complain about My Pets:

  • 1 They live here.  You don't.
  • 2 If you don't want hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.  (Thats why it's called 'fur'niture.)
  • 3 I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
  • 4 To you, it's an animal.  To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter, who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

  • Remember: In many ways, dogs are better than kids:
  • 1. Eat less
  • 2. Don't ask for money all the time
  • 3. Are easier to train
  • 4. Normally come when called
  • 5. Never ask to drive the car
  • 6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
  • 7. Don't drink or smoke
  • 8. You don't have to buy them latest fashions.
  • 9.  They don't want to wear your clothes
  • 10. You don't need a 'gazillion dollars for college.
  • 11. They don't talk back.
  • 12. They are always happy to see you.
  • 13. They don't complain about what you're fixing for dinner
  • 14. They're always ready to go for a walk
  • And finally,
  • 15. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children if you want to!!
